There has been great social change over recent generations that has seen the breakdown of traditional gender-based notions of the roles of mothers and fathers in families, and in particular with fathers. Recent research confirms that fathers make a real difference to their children’s learning and development in everything they do and that positive outcomes are quite profound when fathers take an active role with their children.
This seminar will:
• explore what research has found
• discuss strategies that fathers can use to obtain positive outcomes for their children
